Module 6

It was great to learn how to help motivate students. I like the having the students journal to keep them thinking of what steps they need to take next. This is also a good place to have them identify areas of weakness, so they can start thinking of how to get help.

Module 5

One of the concerns that I have is asking my students to grade one another. Giving studnets the rubric will help them to grade fairly based on the contributions that each studnet makes. The rubric will also allow students to know what is expected for each grade.

Module 4

I had never really thought about creating a student project through this line of questioning. I really had a hard time thinking backwards. I think that it is important not to expect every student to create the same porduct. Giving students choices enables them to create a product that better suits their learning style, although it is important to offer a rubric for every option.

Module 2

This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQ's, or formative assessments in the following ways:

• initiating interest and discussions in studnets early on (getting them hooked).
• to moderate student led discussions.
• to guide my students in their thinking.
• to ensure success for student projects

I am still exploring CFQ's and hopefully that will come easier as time progresses.

think this is going to be a challenge, but I look forward to learning new things! I am really excited that I am learning how to blog on a site other than Facebook. It was great to make newsletter that I will actually use next year. I know it will be a challenge to create a complete unt and project, but I am up for it!
